Amy Gartner

Amy Gartner is a singer and musical theatre actor hailing from the Alberta prairies. Her introduction to music began very young through choir, dance, piano and voice lessons.  She holds a Bachelor of Music degree, majoring in vocal performance, from the University of Alberta.  After graduating from her music degree, Amy caught the travel bug, spending 3 years singing while traveling the world with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as a featured singer. She sang everything from pop to jazz to classical.  She moved to Vancouver 10 years ago and jumped into the local musical theatre scene, in which she is still active.

In recent years, Amy has started to step onto the other side of the table, broadening her skillset to include music direction and composing. It has long been a dream of hers to share her love of the voice with others and she is incredibly excited to be teaching under the mentorship of her dear friend and vocal coach, Frédérik Robert.

Amy looks forward to helping singers discover the depth and breadth of their instruments and hopes to foster curiosity and joy in her students – and hopefully, share in a little laughter and play.
